The day of Yasmeen Nazir's trial finally arrives but it could be thrown off course due to surprising events leading up to the court date.
At the start of the week, Geoff Metcalfe uses his hospital radio show to talk about how he has forgiven Yasmeen and wants to help her.
Meanwhile Yasmeen appears to be turning against her twisted hubby and tells her cell mate that she is getting a visit from a women's charity.
But when the woman arrives Yasmeen is shocked to find it's Geoff's ex-wife Elaine who claims she’s also been abused by Geoff.
Later, Yasmeen's cell mate gives her a book on coercive control leading to her ringing Geoff and telling him she does want to be with him again.
When the day of Yasmeen's trial for attempted murder arrives, she tells Imran Habeeb that she was visited by someone claiming to have been abused by Geoff.
But as Imran says he will track her down Yasmeen collapses on the visiting room floor and is rushed to hospital.
Meanwhile on the street Ryan clocks a woman (Elaine) watching Geoff and Tim as they head out to go to court before an upset Alya tells Ryan that Yasmen has had a heart attack.
Elsewhere, Laura Neelan tells Adam Barlow how Gary Windass threatened her and refuses point blank to call Rick Neelan - who viewers know is six-feet under in the woods.
Adam shares his suspicions with Imran and tells him how he's traced the cash that Rick has been sending his ex-wife back to Gary and wonders if Rick might be dead.
He then approaches Gary and accuses him of killing Rick Neelan but while Gary's dismissive, it is clear he is rattled and his time could soon be up.
Abi Franklin is also on the move as she sets up home in No.13 with Kevin Webster and Jack.
Abi invites Seb to join them for supper following the news that Abi's twins are emigrating to Australia.
But with tensions still high between the mother and son, Emma Brooker points out that to Seb that you only get one mum in this life and he should take her up on her offer of dinner.
