Coronation Street sex trafficking horror as fans predict link between manicurist and Jan

Seb Franklin met up with manicurist Alina after the pair hit it off while he was fixing up a loo at a salon, but things will turn very sinister as the handyman becomes embroiled in a horrifying sex trafficking storyline.

During tonight's Coronation Street , fans watched as Seb and Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) enjoyed a date at The Rovers.

But things suddenly appeared to turn sour when they went for a bite to eat at Speed Daal when Alina saw Jan drinking with Eileen.

After visibly blanching, she left the restaurant and was followed by Seb.

Coronation Street fans convinced bosses are hinting at Celebrity X Factor stint for actor

Fans instantly cottoned onto her reaction, along with her dubious comments about her living arrangements and are convinced that there's a sinister link between Alina and Jan.

Later, Seb will catch up with her again and will end up confiding in her that he is HIV.

Alina doesn't push him away, as he expects, and gives him her number.

However Seb will be left horrified after finding out the truth about Alina and that Jan is not all that he seems.

As Seb becomes involved in the dark storyline, will be able to survive and could he save lives?

Corrie boss Iain MacLeod previously said: "We are keen to highlight that slavery hides in plain sight – the salon which does your nails for a too-good-to-be-true price, the car wash which valets your hatchback for half the going rate… these could all be staffed by people who are being coerced, threatened and exploited.

"Yes, they might seem upbeat and friendly to talk to – but is there something darker and more tragic going on that we don’t stop to notice? If you’re getting a service for a price that seems unreal, ask yourself how that’s possible."

*Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
