Coronation Street set for 'dark' scenes as Abi 'left fighting for her life'

Abi Franklin will be caught in the crossfire on Coronation Street in upcoming scenes, as Ray Crosby faces his downfall.

Faye Windass will find the courage to speak out about him attempting to rape her, as she confides in ex Craig Tinker.

Abi will also be out to get her ex Ray, amid his plan to destroy the street.

She decides to find some evidence to catch him out, but she is soon left in danger.

Amid new spoilers being released, This Morning's soap expert Sharon Marshall revealed "dark" scenes were on the way.

She confirmed Abi would be left "fighting for her life" too, as scenes with Ray and those involved take a shocking turn.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she explained: "Its all gonna take a very nasty turn, he is a proper old school street villain.

"Things are going to get very dark, and what I can say is it's Abi who is going to end up fighting for her life. How far is Ray gonna go to get what he wants?"

It comes as new ITV spoilers revealed Faye would speak out, and that Abi would get some incriminating evidence against Ray.

Ray meets with Susan who blackmails him, asking for £20,000 or she will reveal that he bribed her.

Abi is hiding behind the bar and manages to record the pair as they discuss their crimes.

Ray later tells Abi he will confess to the assault on Faye, as long as she deletes the telling video.

But suddenly Abi collapses, and Ray steals her phone - with it seeming he is somehow involved in her health scare.

Debbie soon arrives and is horrified to find her sprawled out on the floor, but Ray refuses to let her call for an ambulance - telling her she needs to help him get out of this mess.

So will Ray let her die, and will Debbie manage to help her before it is too late?

Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out what happens.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
