Coronation Street seem to rule out factory collapse suspect with peek at future scenes

The residents of Weatherfield have been pointing fingers at several suspects after the horrific factory collapse - with things looking bad for Carla and Nick.

But a snap released by the soap this weekend seems to rule out one suspect.

After Rana died in the collapse, her angry brother Imran has been determined to discover who was behind the collapse.

At the moment, Nick Tilsley is in the frame after Heath and Safety Inspector Wayne found evidence to suggest the collapse may have been deliberate - reports Mirror Online.

This is how Liverpool and Everton WAGs celebrated Easter

Questioning whether factory owners Carla Connor or Nick might have sabotaged the roof for the insurance money, Nick has now been bumped up on the suspects list.

But it may have been revealed that Nick is innocent, with a new backstage photo hinting he’s going nowhere.

Nick looks to be relaxed in this Coronation Street filming snap (ITV)

Photos released by the soap on Saturday from filming appear to show him in the pub, along with his family.

Viewers think they spotted Nick in the scenes, while he is pretty hidden in the snap.

With scenes usually filmed around six weeks in advance, it suggests in just over a month’s time Nick is still on the Cobbles.

Not only that, but he seems pretty chilled in the photo, potentially suggesting he is no longer being investigated, and has definitely not been sent to prison.

With many questioning whether the truth will come out around the special 9pm episodes that air towards the end of May, these particular scenes may air around then.

If this is the case, is the backstage snap enough to confirm Nick is innocent, and therefore ruling him out as a suspect?

Carla and Nick are two of six suspects, also including Gary Windass, Seb Franklin, Robert Preston and Peter Barlow.

While Carla is currently missing after fleeing the Street amid suffering a mental breakdown, Gary is also in turmoil after his financial woes were exposed.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
