Coronation Street's Yasmeen discovers Geoff's disgusting criminal past and plots escape

Yasmeen Nazir discovers Geoff Metcalfe's disgusting criminal past in tonight's Coronation Street.

And now she is planning her escape from Geoff's evil clutches - but viewers are praying she will get to safety before it's too late.

Poor Yasmeen bravely met up with two police officers in the community centre behind her twisted husband's back.

Yasmeen asked about the affray that Geoff was involved in with his former partner, Miss Walkie, and got a worrying response.

The officers revealed that there were conflicting reports on who started the domestic incident and charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.

The police then asked Yasmeen if she knew that Geoff's ex had filed another complaint about him after being harassed.

When asked if she was afraid of her husband and felt like walking on eggshells, she replied: "I don't know. He can be intense."

"I'm not some battered wife," claimed Yasmeen, but she was reminded that it's not always physical violence.

They offered to take her to safety at a womens' refuge but she asked for more time to think before "doing anything rash".

Back at home, Yasmeen was forced to lie about where she had been under questioning from Geoff.

Geoff went to go for a lie down, but then reappeared on the stairs while she searched her handbag for a domestic abuse leaflet.

In another worrying twist, Geoff questioned what she was doing then said he was going to the pub.

He claimed to have lost his keys and said he would need to borrow Yasmeen's and she would have to stay at home.

However, Corrie fans spotted Yasmeen planning her escape as she put her suitcase meant for the holiday in a cupboard.

"Get your suitcase, and get the hell out of there Yasmeen," said one viewer on Twitter..

Another added: "I think - and really hope - that Yasmeen is starting a fightback. You can do it Yas!"

"He’s playing you, Yasmeen. He doesn’t mean his apology," warned a third.

A fourth said: "This storyline is so creepy. Poor Yasmeen"
