Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien forced into wardrobe change after 'inappropriate' admission

Coronation Street's Tina O'Brien made an "inappropriate" admission on today's This Morning.

The soap star was interviewed by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on Friday's special coronation edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme. This Morning headed to Weatherfield today for a special street party in celebration of the King being officially crowned tomorrow.

Tina is renowned for her role as Sarah Platt in the ITV show and joined her co-stars, Jack P Shepherd and William Roache, for an interview. However, the 39-year-old raced to the interview during a busy day of filming and admitted she need to make a last minute change.

She said: I was meant to be filming a scene but I've been rushed off set just to come and see you guys." Alison shot back: "You're dressed in character!"

Tina quickly responded: "I was dressed in character but the skirt was so short it was a little inappropriate." Tina changed and appeared on This Morning wearing a pink cardigan, white vest and an ankle length blue and white skirt.

Fans were thrilled as This Morning was broadcast from a brand new location today. However, the street party was hit with chaos as they were forced indoors after it started raining.

The hosts were joined by stars, Julia Goulding and Samia Longchambon, for the segment. Samia joked: "Of course, it’s raining in Manchester, oh my fringe!”"

Alison cut the segment off amid the chaos as she said: "You know what, the heavens have opened so you know what we’re going to do? We’re going to go for a break."
