Coronation Street's Sally Webster will be thinking the worse next week when husband Tim Metcalfe keeps a huge secret from her.
New ITV spoilers reveal that Sally will be trying her best next week to make an effort with Tim, but she's completely unaware that he's been given a terrifying health diagnosis.
Earlier this week, Tim (Joe Duttine) was told by his cardiology consultant that he needs to have an angiogram, and during Wednesday's episode the consultant informed him he needs a triple heart bypass.
Next week when a dishevelled Tim returns home after spending the night in the cab office, he assures Sally (Sally Dynevor) that he’s not gone off her, he just had a stressful day.
Later on, at Aggie Bailey’s insistence, Tim returns to see the cardiologist who explains his heart operation in detail and confirms that he’ll receive a letter with a date - this leaves him scared witless.
As Tim tries to pluck up the courage to tell Sally about his heart operation, he’s thwarted when Sally reveals her daughter Sophie’s broken her wrist in a moped accident in Crete.
A few days later when Sally suggests a dip in the hot tub, Tim makes excuses, leaving her feeling hurt.
However, when Jenny lets slip that Tim bought a huge bunch of flowers earlier, Sally’s pleased - but when he returns home without any flowers and heads straight to bed, Sally’s convinced that he’s hiding something.
Things go from bad to worse when Sally casts her eye over Maria’s election pamphlet and is left furious when she realises Tim must have let slip about County’s new training ground plans.
In the Rovers, Tim confides in Peter Barlow that he’s awaiting a triple bypass operation but can’t bring himself to tell Sally.
Tim swears Peter to secrecy, leaving him deeply concerned.
When Tim returns home later that day and takes off his coat, he knocks their wedding photo off the sideboard, smashing it to smithereens.
Will Sally think he's done it on purpose? And if she confronts him, will Tim finally come clean and tell her about his health problems?
