Coronation Street's Tim left fighting for his life before sudden exit

Tim Metcalfe is rushed to hospital and left fighting for his life in next week's Coronation Street .

The stress of the last few month's, including Sally's prison sentence and factory roof fall, prove too much for poor Tim.

The cab driver starts feeling unwell but brushes it off and takes some indigestion tablets.

Just as Gina is about to leave Weatherfield she calls into the cab office and realises he in in a bad way.

Tim doesn't care about her concern and heads back home to No.8, ignoring the excruciating pain in his chest and arm.

Tim hides his discomfort from Sally as they settle down to watch a film together.

They are interrupted by Gina, who can't leave without telling her sister that Tim needs medical attention.

Terrified Sally realises something is horribly wrong with her husband and calls an ambulance immediately.

Tim gets the treatment he needs at the hospital and a warning from the doctor.

Sally doesn't want a repeat of the ordeal and puts Tim on a healthy diet.

While Tim searches the cupboards for some chocolate, Sally heads out to find Gina before she leaves the cobbles.

There is a touching moment between the sisters as they finally settle their differences.

Sally thanks Gina for saving her husband's life by realising there was a problem.

Gina gets a shock when Sally pleads with her not to leave Weatherfield.

Paying off the cab driver, Sally orders Gina to come back to No.4.

It seems Tim has not learnt his lesson as they find him about to tuck into a bacon sandwich.

With Gina forgiven, will she change her mind and stick around on the Street?
