Coronation Street's Sharon Bentley made a shock appearance in court during Wednesday night's episode as she gave evidence against her relative Harvey Gaskell.
In a surprise twist, Sharon (Tracie Bennett) sided with a terrified Leanne Battersby as she confirmed that Harvey (Will Mellor) is a bad guy.
As Harvey looked on disgusted, Sharon admitted that her relative was the ring leader of a drug gang and even revealed how he recruits vulnerable young people to work for them.
Leanne (Jane Danson) was stunned at Sharon's brutal U-turn and later confronted her away from the court room and quizzed her on why she had had a change of heart.
Ever the victim, Sharon said that Leanne and her son Simon Barlow could go back to living their normal lives now - but said that she would have to look over her shoulder for the rest of her days.
As she headed back to the cobbles and to Rita's house, Jenny was disgusted at Rita supporting her adoptive daughter and letting her stay with her until Harvey's sentencing.
Accusing her of being too soft, Jenny blasted Rita and told her to call the police again on Sharon - but Rita claimed that she deserves a second chance.
However, it looks as though Rita will live to regret her decision - and Sharon's true motives were later revealed.
The dodgy character was later seen talking to one of Harvey's men about her court appearance and announced that she'll now be taking charge of his dodgy dealings.
"Who’s going to be my new boss?" the thug asked her, as she replied: "You’re looking at her! Now do me a favour and spread the word.
"I hope Harvey’s stocked up on Vitamin D coz he’s gonna be locked up for a good 10 years or so," she bragged, looking as cocky as ever.
Sharon went on to say that she can get hold of £10,000 to get the operation back up and running again.
Viewers will remember that she was begging Rita for £10,000 earlier this week when she planning to flee the cobbles, so it seems she still thinks she's capable of getting the money.
Corrie viewers were certainly left feeling worried for Rita and took to Twitter to comment.
"Oh no it looks like Sharon is going to fleece Rita by stealing her 10k from her," one person posted.
"Protect Rita at all costs. Rita needs to be careful and keep her wits about her from this point forward . Jenny is right Rita is not to be trusted."
A second tweeted: "Ooh, Sharon's back at it! Rita better watch out #Corrie."
And a third added: "Fab #Corrie tonight! And... Sharon! Oh my God! So glad she is a proper baddie after all and not having another second chance...#Corrie."
