Coronation Street's Seb and Nina attack flashback episodes leave fans in tears as killer exposed

Emotional Coronation Street viewers have rushed to praise the cast and crew of the ITV soap after the two harrowing episodes that went out on Monday night, with flashbacks to the fatal attack on Seb and Nina.

It was back in April that Corrie bosses revealed that Nina and Seb would be the victims of a brutal attack in an upcoming storyline, that will leave them hospitalised with serious injuries.

The attack ultimately cost Seb his life, leaving millions of fans heartbroken but, on Monday, after he was spotted filming scenes in Manchester, actor Harry Visinoni reprised the role, for two episodes that proved to be utterly compelling viewing.

And it was during the second that viewers finally discovered who it was that killed Seb, after both Corey and Kelly were put in the frame for his death.

After Nina's memory was triggered by a song that reminded her of that fateful night, she retraced the tragic events in details, remembering it was Corey who delivered the deadly kick to Seb, just as Kelly gave the full version of events that proved her innocence.

Young actors Harry, Mollie Gallagher in the role of Nina, Maximus Evans as Corey and Millie Gibson, who plays Kelly, all received rave reviews from tear stricken fans who were blown away by their performances in Monday's double header.

One took to Twitter to post: " @itvcorrie what a brilliant and such an emotional episode tonight. Hats off to @molgallagher11_ for being an amazing actress!!! Well done to the other young actors/ actresses."

Equally moved and impressed by what they saw, a second told Corrie star Mollie: "I sat there crying as this is so realistic the whole cast really amazed me and you were incredible. Things like this should never happen and it’s good that coronation street covered this story line so well.

"You so deserve to win the NTA I voted for you 100% you are so amazing."

The harrowing Seb and Nina attack storyline saw the Coronation Street cast and crew work closely with The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, with the plot having similarities to the real-life attack on youngster Sophie and her other half.

Sophie and her boyfriend Robert Maltby were set upon and beaten in a park in 2007 simply because of the way they looked, with Sophie tragically dying as a result of her injuries.
