Coronation Street's Sean Tully in hot water over pyramid scheme that 'ruins neighbours'

Sean Tully's desperation to impress son Dylan and get his life in order will have severe consequences for the other Coronation Street residents.

Dylan returned to the cobbles last year and he will be back to see his dad in the weeks ahead.

But Sean's financial state makes him feel like he is letting the teen down - and he tries do do something about it.

However, he makes some very questionable decisions and turns to a pyramid scheme to try and earns some extra cash.

But it goes horribly wrong - and Sean, played by Anthony Cotton, leaves his neighbours in a black hole after he convinced them to come on board.

Executive Producer Iain MacLeod has revealed the factory worker gets desperate - and it puts his pals in big trouble.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk the ITV soap exec says trouble is brewing on the Street and Sean is about to leave them in hot water.

"We’ll see the good and bad of Sean when Dylan comes back," he revealed.

Liam McCheyne first hit our screen as a very young star a decade ago (ITV)

"The chemistry with Dylan is touching and poignant. I totally buy their relationship but Sean gets sucked in.

"He has lived on the bones of his backside before so he is determined Dylan needs a proper home.

"He won’t be doing anything criminal but he gets involved with this pyramid scheme that ruins his neighbours and he convinces himself he is doing nothing wrong.

Sean has cash worries - but he makes a wrong move later this year (ITV)

"He ends up making morally questionable decisions and riding roughly over his neighbours."

Dylan, played by young actor Liam McCheyne, played the character as a toddler before returning over a decade later after his mum Violet Wilson left to start a new life away from Manchester.
