Coronation Street fans were fuming while watching the ITV soap tonight.
Earlier in the week, we saw Adam thrown over a balcony after a heated row with his vengeful ex Lydia. He had arranged to meet up with her to try and get her to admit that she had been lying about their 'affair' to his wife Sarah - who had threatened a divorce.
He lay lifeless on the shopping precinct floor, with blood pouring from his head. Daniel found him and called for help quickly.

Tonight's episode opened with Daniel and Ken eagerly awaiting for updates on Adam's condition as he was in hospital. A nurse later updated them on Adam's fate.
She said that he had suffered two fractured ribs and a broken radius. While he had no permanent brain damage, he was complaining of blurred vision.
The hospital staff ran more tests and found a bleed behind his eye. The doctor warned that it could lead to a loss of sight without emergency surgery.
Adam had regained consciousness and the nurse allowed Daniel and Ken in to see him. He claimed he didn't remember falling but recalled meeting Lydia as she gave him some 'home truths'. Daniel said: "If you don't tell the police what happened then she's going to get away with trying to kill you."
Meanwhile, his wife Sarah was fuming that he had missed his step son's birthday being unaware of what had actually happened to him. Peter Barlow found her and explained why he was missing.
Sarah wasn't interested. She cold-heartedly turned her back on her partner as she said that he wasn't her problem anymore.
Fans on Twitter couldn't believe her audacity as they vented their anger at her in messages on the social media platform. Callum said: "#Corrie I'm sorry, but Sarah and Adam are done after this. How can Sarah say 'Adam's not my problem anymore' when he's in hospital about to go into eye surgery? Must say, that's quite heartless."
Another user said: "Regardless of if you're with him or not anymore, you could still go to see Adam, in hospital, Sarah! #Corrie" Meanwhile, Amelia said: "Is Sarah really not going to go and see Adam? He’s literally been pushed off a balcony she’s still his wife #corrie"
