Coronation Street's Sam Robertson looks so different with his natural curly hair

Is that you, Adam Barlow?

Coronation Street actor Sam Robertson looks incredibly different with his natural curly hair.

The star, who plays sexy solicitor Adam in the ITV soap, let his natural curls loose as he went for a pint with some of his co-stars.

Sam was spotted down the pub with Mikey North, who plays Gary Windass, Jack P Shepherd, who stars as David Platt, Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew, and Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Connor.

The Scottish hunk rocked 1970s vibes as he strutted through a beer garden with a pint of Guinness in his hand.

Sam dressed in black jeans and a black vest with a brown suede waistcoat on top.

His dark bouncy curls hung loose, making him look very different to his on-screen character.

Sam, 33, finished off his look with a pair of gold-rimmed sunglasses.

His hair is said to have caused a fuss behind the scenes on the soap after he cut it without knowing producers wanted him to keep it long.

But a recent 10-week break from work allowed him to grow it out so it can be slicked back for his scenes.

Sam told The Sun : "The break’s allowed me to grow my hair which was a bit of a debate upstairs.

"I had a bit of a Billy Connolly beard as well. Next year I’ll come back with a face tattoo or something. Once you go curly you can’t go straight because you’ve been exposed.

"I’ve always wanted to grow my hair long. When I got offered to come back in 2016 my hair was longer than this and slicked back."

Sam says every time he's booked a job in the past, he's been asked to cut his hair.

He's getting close to Sarah Platt on the show (ITV)

He said he automatically did it when he joined Corrie thinking that's what they'd want, but found out that then-boss Kate Oates was gutted as she liked it long.

He now plans to grow it out for as long as he can get away with it and before it looks "ridiculous".
