Robert Preston is reportedly set to be arrested for killing his pregnant girlfriend Vicky as his affair is finally exposed.
The chef, played by Tristan Gemmill, has been secretly seeing Vicky behind fiancee Michelle's back.
But things are set to come to an explosive end when Michelle discovers what Robert has really been up to.
And The Sun have claimed that things continue in a downward spiral when Vicky ends up going missing and Robert is questioned by police, who suspect he may have murdered her.
A source told the publication: "Robert is going to be hauled in by police after Vicky goes missing.
"They think he's killed her after he disappears on the night she did and then returns to Weatherfield with a face full of scratches."
The insider said that shocking scenes see Vicky confronting Robert over his lies and she completely loses it.
This, they claim, will be the last time that viewers see her.
"Michelle is suspicious too because she realises the night Vicky went missing is the same night Robert mysteriously went out in the middle of the night," they added.
