Coronation Street viewers may be surprised to know two actors on the show are related in real life, while their characters have never met on the Street.
Tommy Orpington, a famous footballer for Weatherfield County on the soap, is played by actor Matt Milburn, and you may recognise his sibling.
It’s now been unveiled that he’s the real-life brother of actor Greg Wood, who recently made his return to the soap as a loan shark Rick Neeson.
Taking to Instagram in 2017, Greg posted two photos that confirmed their relation to one another.

On Matt’s wedding day, Greg posted a snap of the pair together, followed by a group photo including the bridal and groom party.
He said along with the photos: “Beautiful day, couldn't of gone better. Proud of my bro x.”
Greg also posed a snap of the pair with their dad on Fathers Day, and said: “Happy fathers day!!! Love you pops, you make your kids proud xxx.”
While the actor is a big softy in real life, he’s currently threatening Gary Windass, with the loan shark warning him to pay up or else.
He’s been on and off the soap for years, even kidnapping Rita Sullivan in his time.
Next week the villain is set to target Alex, as he forces Gary to take on dodgy jobs for him.
Meanwhile off-screen brother Matt was last seen on the Cobbles to assist the opening of Nick and David’s barbers in March, while it went horribly wrong when they were set up for harming a customer.
Matt first appeared as Weatherfield County footballer Tommy in 2016, before appearing again last year after Jack Webster’s sepsis storyline.
Both actors have also appeared in Hollyoaks at separate times, with Matt’s character Joe Spencer killed off in 2006, while Greg’s character Trevor Royle died in 2016.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
