Pregnant Maria Connor split up with Gary Windass tonight as he finally confessed to being a loan shark on Coronation Street .
Builder-turned-villain Gary was confronted in The Rovers this evening by furious cobbles residents as he was accused of being responsible for the shooting.
Derek Milligan shot three residents, killing Robert Preston and causing Shona Ramsey going into a coma, before plunging to his death from a helter skelter after going on a rampage through Weatherfield.
Tonight, Gary was taken in by the police after being accused of acting as a loan shark for Derek and causing him to spiral out of control.
After hearing the rumours, furious residents hit out at Gary but he was quickly defended by girlfriend Maria.
Yet back at the flat, Gary finally confessed the truth to Maria in awkward scenes.
Afterwards, he tried to plead with her by saying that he would be "different from now on".
But an angry Maria hit back: "Oh stop it."
"Just give me a second chance, please," Gary begged, but Maria wasn't listening to him.
Maria demanded that he leave and told him to "get out".
