Coronation Street's Peter Barlow sends fans wild after partying with Johnny Depp in throwback snap

Coronation Street fans had the surprise of their life when one Cobbles star partied with Hollywood royalty.

Chris Gascoyne a.k.a Peter Barlow posted a throwback snap with Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp.

The pair were seen in a casual setting as Chris posed with a cigarette and a bottle in his hand.

Johnny looked dapper as ever flexing his tattoos in a short sleeved shirt whilst wearing a fedora hat.

And lots of Chris' fans commented on the post in awe, with one saying: "This has made MY DAY."

But the uncaptioned snap confused some viewers who thought the post could be hinting at a future cameo part for Depp on the Cobbles.

One wrote: "Johnny Depp gotta join Corrie now. Peter’s new rehab friend."

Another said: "Is he gonna be making an appearance in Corrie?"

And a third wrote: "Wait... Is Jonny making a cameo on Corrie!?!"

Unfortunately, a representative of Coronation Street told the Daily Mail there are no plans for Johnny to appear on the soap.
