Coronation Street fans were emotional after the show gave a nod to Jack Duckworth.

Jack, played by Bill Tarmey, first appeared in Corrie in 1979, before returning in 1981 and leaving in 2010.

Bill sadly died from a heart attack on November 9, 2012 at the age of 71.

Shaun said: "Awwww I love Jack being remembered."

Mike said: "Loved the little mention of Jack Duckworth tonight with the injured pigeon."

Jodi tweeted: "I miss Jack and Vera."

Another said: "Big up Jack Duckworth."

And Owen said: "Jack Duckworth mention", followed by a crying emoji.
