David was called in to have a meeting with the teacher and the Deputy Head to try and resolve the matter.

Daniel Osbourne eventually apologised for grabbing Max's jacket, however he refused to withdraw the accusation that Max stole a wallet.

Mrs Crawshaw tried to draw a line under the situation by insisting Daniel should pacify David rather than throw away his career.

However, fans of the show were distracted throughout the scene as they immediately recognised that Sophie was being played by children's television sta r, Carla Medonça.

Carla was renowned for her role as the mum Sophie in the show My Parents are Aliens - and fans on Twitter were blown away by the appearance.

Thomas said: "Queen Sophie from my Parents Are Aliens!!"

Danielle added: "It’s Sophie from My Parents Are Aliens!!!"

Steph commented: "The mum from My Parents Are Aliens is on #corrie. A blast from the past!"

Ava posted: "@CarlaTMendonca Loved seeing you in #Corrie tonight! You were one of my favourite childhood actors in My Parents Are Aliens. Such a pleasure watching you on TV again :)"
