Coronation Street's Natasha Blakeman gunned down in devastating mistaken identity

Natasha Blakeman was brutally shot in a tragic case of mistaken identity on Coronation Street this evening.

Sam's mum, played by Rachel Leskovac, was in the wrong place at the wrong time and in the wrong costume when she was gunned down by gang member Harvey Gaskell.

After defying all odds by surviving the sinkhole, Harvey (Will Mellor) got hold of Abi's gun as he was determined to get revenge on Leanne.

Returning to Weatherfield after stealing a bike and a phone, Harvey then spotted Leanne's Morticia costume as she made her way to the flats and followed her in.

As he lurked inside, he spotted her running across and took a shot, leaving her to thud down on the ground.

Initially, it seemed as though Leanne had been killed by Harvey but as Nick and the real Leanne arrived, it emerged that it was Natasha who had been shot and was bleeding out onto the floor.

Will she survive? Only time will tell...

It's been a dramatic week on Corrie as a storm wreaked havoc on Weatherfield, leaving many lives in the balance as sinkholes swallowed a number of residents.

Among them - alongside Harvey - had been Abi Franklin, who used the opportunity to hold her son's killer Corey at gunpoint.

But when it came down to it, Abi realised that she wasn't a killer and, with Roy's help, made it out alive and stayed out of jail.

Pub landlady Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) also fell down a sinkhole while searching for Leo, leading ex Johnny (Richard Hawley) to climb in after her to save her.

Dev Alahan was caught up in the chaos after his car collided with Harvey's prison van, which allowed the villain to escape in the first place.

With his daughter unconscious and his son stuck, Dev chose to save Asha and leave Aadi to help himself out of the car.

In a horrifying twist, the car exploded - with Dev fearing that his son had been burned alive.

Thankfully, Aadi had made it out of the car himself, but sustained terrible injuries and was later rushed to hospital.

"Aadi’s resentment could become big if he gets out," actress Tanisha Gorey - who plays Asha - explained. "In that situation and you’re in survival mode, I can’t blame him for feeling that either."

Adam Hussain (Aadi) added: "[The family dynamic] must change quite a bit, that resentment has built up to an explosion now. He’s quite resentful of his father; imagine being chosen to die over someone else? That would mentally scar anyone."
