Coronation Street said a sad farewell to Norris Cole as residents gathered at his funeral.
But fans were rather distracted by Mary's choice of outfit.
Mary had dressed up as Stars Wars character Princess Leia.

This caused much confusion among the mourners gathered at the funeral.
Audrey asked Mary whether it was a religious outfit, but Mary said only Norris would understand.
Viewers were equally as baffled.
Ange said: "Wtf is Mary up to wearing that?!"
Chaser Jenny Ryan tweeted: "MARY BEING ICONIC ALERT."
Matt tweeted: "Is it me? Or is Mary dressed as Princess Leia from Star Wars for Norris' funeral?"
Bernadette added: "Can we just all take a moment to talk about Mary’s outfit."

Carly said: "WHY is Mary dressed as Princess Leia from Star Wars for Norris’s funeral!"
And Cara wrote: "Got so many questions about Norris funeral why is Mary dressed as Princess Leia and why is there a stapler on top of the carriage."
However, in a letter left by Norris, he revealed as a joke he once told Mary how much he would love it if at his funeral she wore a Princess Leia costume.
He added: "But not even you would fall for that."
