Ken Barlow and Norris Cole are living in fear at their new retirement home after realising it's a "cult".
The Coronation Street legends have moved into the Stillwaters complex - but have discovered it is hiding a dark secret.
Ken was stunned to see old friend Norris after giving a book talk to the residents and they had a catch up over a drink.
Making sure Freda couldn’t read his lips, Norris admitted to Ken that not everything is at it seems at Stillwaters.
Pleading for Ken to help him escape, Norris said: "You've got to get me out of this place."
Terrified Norris confessed he was taken in at first but felt like he was "living in a cult".
He explained: "They have to pay allegiance to the glorious leader, or else."
Norris claimed fellow resident Charles "rules the place with a rod of iron" and that Big Brother was watching over them.
Ken told Norris he was being "paranoid", but the worried pensioner claimed the people at the retirement complex were "terrible gossips".
Norris said: "I'm a drowning man, Ken. Throw me a lifeline."
Ken was left looking concerned when Claudia popped up and revealed they had been invite for fondue with Charles.
Coronation Street viewers flocked to Twitter after being left in hysterics at the new storyline.
One fan said: "Norris wants to break out of the retirement village and wants Ken to kelp him. It’s like an OAP version of Escape from Alcatraz"
"The Great Escape from Stillwaters by Ken and Norris," added another.
A third said: "Ffs have Ken and Norris joined a cult."
"Norris and Ken Breaking Out going to be fab to see," said a fourth.
