Coronation Street's Katie McGlynn goes all out for festival-themed birthday bash

Coronation Street's Katie McGlynn reunited with her former on-screen husband as she celebrated her brithday.

The former Sinead Tinker actress celebrated her 27th year in style with a festival-themed bash over the weekend which she dubbed 'mcglynnfest2020' on Instagram.

Sharing pictures with her 302k followers, Katie looked every bit festival-chic in a floor-length floral silk dress with thigh-high split complete with black leather jacket chunky black boots.

The Rochdale actress completed her mini outdoor festival with wristbands, "temporary tattoos" and, erm, "bruises".

Katie was joined by former co-star Rob Mallard and a few of her other best pals.

She wrote alongside a series of images from the party: "My friends are better than yours...

"Literally had the best time of my life this weekend with these beautiful souls celebrating my birthday, outdoor style at #mcglynnfest2020...couldn't think of a more gorgeous group!!"

And it must have been quite the party as Katie admitted to feeling a bit worse for wear.

She took to Instagram the next day to complain about her festivities induced sore head.

Sharing a picture of herself with publicist Lee Bennett on her Instagram story, Katie joked "happy Monday...

"McGlynnfest2020 has ruined us... until next year."

But her friends seemed to love their weekend with Lee commenting: "Not bad for first time festival organisers if I do say so myself."

And friend Lucy added: "I'm covered head to toe in cuts and bruises, temporary tattoos and I've got 3 day hangover but it was definitely worth it."

Katie made sure her celebrations lasted the whole weekend as she headed out in Manchester for the first time since lockdown last Friday night.

The surprise night out took place at BLVD and 20 Stories in the city with Katie adding: "Turning 27 isn't all bad...another year older but still no wiser!"
