Johnny Connor appears to have been hiding a big secret from his loved ones as a mysterious newcomer appears on Coronation Street.
The Rovers owner, played by Richard Hawley, will be left increasingly worried when he sets his eyes on new arrival Scott (Tom Roberts).
Scott will turn up at the pub next week and instantly gets to charming Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard).
He later reveals that he wants to rent the spare room at The Rovers on a long let.
While Jenny is excited about the prospect of the lodger, which will also see more money come in, Johnny is stunned when he recognises the new guest.
Johnny tries not to let on that he is worried but instead tries to persuade Jenny that they should visit Eva Price and their grandson in France.
However Jenny points that it is most likely too late to find cover at the pub and that Johnny should go by himself.
Yet Johnny insists that they go and manages to arrange for Carla and Peter to run the Rovers.
How does Johnny know Scott?
And why does his appearance on the cobbles scare him so much that he wants to flee Weatherfield?
