Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine teases 'juicy' Christmas scripts

Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine has teased a dramatic time ahead on Coronation Street this Christmas.

Jennie, who plays Fiz Stape in the ITV soap, has seen the festive scripts and has promised fans that they're 'juicy.'

The actress appeared on Tuesday's Loose Women alongside co-star Alan Halsall, who plays her lovelorn estranged partner Tyrone Dobbs, reports the Mirror.

"You know what Coronation Street is like, I think there's going to be a few more bumps," Jennie replied.

"I've literally just put it away but I've just been reading the scripts, this might be the week before Christmas that I've got in my handbag down here but I'm not showing it!" she continued.

As she was urged to dish out an exclusive to the Loose Women panel she refused to give anything away.

She teased: "It's a bit dramatic! Not even my bits, I was reading someone else's bits and ooooh it’s very juicy!"

Tyrone has recently confessed his love for Fiz after 'accidentally' getting engaged to his girlfriend Alina Pop.

He left Fiz for younger woman Alina earlier this year but has realised that he's still in love with her.

Alina recently suffered a miscarriage after Fiz's jealous daughter Hope set fire to their flat which caused a rift in their relationship as he protected his stepdaughter.

And as he tried to let her down gently Alina got the wrong idea and thought he was popping the question.

Alan told the ITV chat show how much he enjoys working with Jennie and said: "Everyday’s a joy getting new scripts.

"Of course I love working with Jennie every single day, she's a joy to work with.

"But also as characters, there's a helluva a lot of history between the two of them, but as Jennie says, in Coronation Street anything can happen!"
