Coronation Street fans were quick to question Jack Webster tonight as Liam fell to the floor coughing.
Jack and Liam had been playing football on the Cobbles when Liam collapsed onto the curb and struggled to breathe.
His mum Maria and Sally Webster were arguing just metres away but were oblivious to Liam's distress.

Jack could easily shout them across for help, but instead he just stood there watching his friend struggle without doing anything.
After a few minutes Jack finally shouted across to Maria and many Corrie viewers were quick to ask what the reason for Jack's delay was.
Jacques O said: "When did Jack Webster get so old? And why the hell did he just stand by while Liam was casually dying?"
Aidan said: "Hello Jack? What took you so long to get Maria’s attention."
Sonia Stephenson said: "How pathetic was that. Stupid Jack just standing watching Liam choke."
Ryan Glendenning said: "Why is Jack just standing there?"
Hutcherson Barlow said: "What the hell took Jack so long to call for help, it's like he was in a trance."
