Coronation Street's Helen Worth speaks out over mutiny on the Cobbles rumours

Coronation Street's Helen Worth has spoken out, after rumours that all is not well on the Cobbles.

Several key characters have announced they're leaving Corrie in the past few weeks, leading to rumours that actors are unhappy on the soap.

Lucy Fallon, Katie McGlynn, Faye Brookes, Tristan Gemmill, Kym Marsh and Bhavna Limbachia have all announced they will be leaving Weatherfield this year.

And today Helen, who plays Gail Rodwell on the soap, appeared on Good Morning Britain to address the rumours.

When she was asked by hosts Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway about the rumours Helen was very protective of the soap she's acted on for 45 years.

Gail felt a chill on Coronation Street (ITV)

She said: "It's fantastic, it's a fabulous place to work, I work with an amazing family anyway and have done for a number of years.

"Everyone that joins us just seems to muck in and go along with us.

"Yes it's hard work, we have six episodes a week, but the camaraderie is fantastic and we're all in it together.

"I wouldn't have changed anything about it."

Former Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley previously told the Daily Star about the gruelling 12-hour shifts, sometimes working up to seven days a week and how they took their toll on her personal life.

She said: “It was 7am to 7pm every day at Corrie.

“Those are moments in your life you never get back. I love spending more time with my little boy now."

*GMB continues at 6am on Monday on ITV
