Geoff Metcalfe finds a disgusting new way to abuse Yasmeen Nazir on next week's Coronation Street.

Nasty Geoff has realised that he has been exposed after months of tormenting his wife.

Yasmeen has found the confidence to contact the police - but Geoff discovered the pamphlet on domestic abuse that she was hiding.

At No.6, Geoff reads Yasmeen’s pamphlet on domestic abuse with a list of signs of controlling behaviour

Realising that he no longer has the same power over his wife, the twisted pensioner decides to take a different approach.

Vile Geoff fears that Yasmeen is getting too independent and comes up with a horrible scheme to get her back under his control.

He seizes his opportunity when Cathy comes round for a catch-up with her friend.

Geoff manages to sneakily manipulate the conversation so that Yasmeen accidentally ends up offending Cathy.

Furious Cathy storms out of the house - but Yasmeen blames herself has no idea that Geoff is really to blame.

Geoff warns Yasmeen that she has gone too far and lost Cathy as a friend.

Has his horrible scheming worked to ruin their friendship?

Some Coronation Street stars have urged victims of domestic abuse to report their abusers to police via the 'silent solution'.

Shelley King, Sair Khan , Sally Dynevor, Sally Carman and former show star Julie Hesmondhalgh all feature in a new video campaign, released in conjunction with Women's Aid.

Their message comes as charities have said their helplines are receiving an increase in domestic violence-related calls as the UK locks down amid the global coronavirus crisis.
