Coronation Street's Gemma and Chesney in housing riddle

The living arrangements of Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown have had Coronation Street viewers talking.

Gemma and Chesney live at 5 Coronation Street with their three-month-old quadruplets Aled, Bryn, Cleo and Carys, Chesney's son from a previous relationship Joseph.

Gemma's mum Bernie has been living with the couple too.

But fans reckon they should be moving to a larger home, saying they've become overcrowded.

The three-bedroom terraced house, previously owned by Don Brennan, was repossessed and sold to the Metropolitan Borough of Weatherfield in 1997.

It was bought by an unnamed landlord and by 2011 the house was being rented out by an unnamed landlord.

"They would be re-housed due to over crowding. This is literally driving me nuts!" said one fan.

"Let's get them re-housed."

"Their house isn't big enough to accommodate five kids," said another on Twitter.

"So Gemma, her mum, Chesney, their kids ALL living in the same roof," commented another viewer.

"Gemma and Chesney will be onto the council for a bigger house," suggested another Corrie watcher.

Chesney is the last remaining member of the Battersby-Brown family, remaining in the house after his stepfather Les and mother Cilla Battersby-Brown left Weatherfield in 2007.

His older sister Fiz moved out in 2013 to live with her partner Tyrone Dobbs.

The property was recently targeted by an arsonist who put a burning rag through the door after Bernie's ex Kel Hinchley was exposed online as paedophile.

Thankfully Gemma and her quads escaped unscathed after Chesney returned home and neighbour Abi Franklin arrived to their rescue with an extinsguisher.
