Coronation Street's Ellie Leach discusses future on the soap after Faye's attack confession

Coronation Street's Ellie Leach has discussed her future on the soap after character's confession.

Viewers of the ITV soap saw Faye Windass head to the police station on Monday's nights trip to the cobbles after confessing her big secret to Craig Tinker.

Faye has been riddled with guilt after hitting Adam Barlow round the head in a case of mistaken identity after thinking that he was her sleazy boss Ray Crosby who had previously tried to rape her.

Ray was later arrested on suspicion of attempted rape but with Faye having admitted to the attack, will she go to prison?

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV show on Tuesday, Ellie revealed all.

"Poor Faye, we don't know what's going to happen to her. She might up the jail," Lorraine said as she interviewed Ellie.

After asking her if she's going anywhere, Ellie replied: "No, no. Not going anywhere for the time being."

She then added: "Well hopefully forever."

While Faye may be safe on the cobbles for now, all attention will turn to Ray as he is quizzed by the police.

Fellow Weatherfield resident Abi Franklin is set to be caught in the crossfire as she continues to goad her former flame over his plans for the development.
