Coronation Street's David Platt faces rapist Josh ahead of 'revenge stabbing'

David Platt will face his rapist ahead of a brutal 'revenge stabbing' in next week's Coronation Street .

The barber's past comes back to haunt him when he comes face to face with nasty Josh Tucker in a prison showdown.

David is horrified when he spots the man that drugged and raped him in the medical wing while getting his medication.

The pair make brief eye contact while bloodied and bruised Josh is lying down waiting to get treatment in a bed.

A clearly shaken David hesitantly heads back to his prison cell, where cell mate Abe reveals why Josh is inside.

He explains that Josh has been sent down for drugging and raping someone, leading David to reveal Josh did exactly the same thing to him.

With the knowledge that Josh is in the same prison, David is let in limbo, but will he plot revenge?

The storyline will come to a dramatic end later this year when a fiery prison riot ends in a violent stabbing.

Things aren't much better at home for the Platts - with Max going off the rails.

Shona Ramsey and Sarah Platt go out for birthday drinks, while Faye struggles to look after Lily and Harry at home.

To make matters worse, Max arrives home in a foul mood, before Shona and Sarah come back to find him rowing with his sister over the telly.

The clash ends in disaster when Harry is knocked unconscious then rushed off to hospital in an ambulance with his worried mum.

Furious Shona blames Max for causing Harry's injury but he insists it was actually Lily who shoved their cousin.

As if the situation couldn't get any more heated, Max's grandma Marion Logan makes an unexpected arrival.

Evil Callum's mum reveals that Max has been visiting her regularly to escape the Platt's house.

Marion realises that Shona is drunk and claims she is an unfit mother - then visits Adam in a bid to gain custody of her grandchildren.

Adam is unaware of her connection to the Platts and gives her advice - leaving Sarah mortified when they put the pieces together.

Shona, who realises she has made a grave error and Max was innocent, is gutted when she receives a text from Marion informing her that she’ll be hearing from her solicitor.

Will Marion get custody of Max and Harry?
