Daniel Osbourne's disturbing behaviour will leave Nicky incredibly uncomfortable next week as their situation becomes increasingly akin to a Hitchcock scenario.
The grieving dad, played by Rob Mallard, has struggled to get over the death of his wife Sinead as he tries to look after their son Bertie on Coronation Street.
However, Daniel has sought solace in Nicky, despite initially being upset to find out that she was a prostitute.
Daniel has been paying Nicky to pretend to be Sinead by wearing her cardigans and cuddling him in bed.
Next week, things get even more creepy when Daniel resorts to begging Nicky to see him later that week.
Nicky reluctantly agrees that she will be able to see him at 5pm and Daniel is pathetically grateful.
She arrives later at Daniel's flat and is astonished to find that he has cooked a meal for them to enjoy together.
He hands over Sinead's cardigan and Nicky is forced to hide her discomfort.
She is relieved when the time is finally up and suggests that he talk to family and friends rather than pay her to spend time with him.
Despite her suggestion, Daniel is clearly not listening and only has eyes for her.
How will his creepy behaviour escalate?
