Daniel Osbourne disgusted Coronation Street fans tonight by passing out drunk while Sinead was dying.
Sinead recoiled in horror when Daniel confessed he had kissed Bethany Platt and ordered him to leave the flat.
Terminally ill Sinead was shaking on the bed - while despicable Daniel grabbed a bottle of vodka and went on the lash.
Terrified Beth Tinker to call Dr Gaddas to tend to her dying niece, who told the doctor that she was in so much pain she wanted to end it all.
In heartbreaking scenes, Sinead slept while crying Beth, who was stroking her hair, said: "My beautiful, beautiful girl."
In the living room, Kirk Sutherland held baby Bertie in his arms in a touching moment.
Kirk said: "You can be anything you know Bertie. Whatever happens now you’ll never not be loved. Not one single day."
Back in the bedroom, Beth wept as she stroked Sinead's cheek in scenes that left viewers in tears.
The episode ended with the villain of the piece collapsing onto the floor by a canal.
Dastardly Daniel, who makes viewers feel as sick as he looked, fell onto the ground in a drunken stupor.
After gazing at Bertie's dummy, which had the words 'mummy's boy' on, went for another swig of booze before passing out.
Taking to Twitter after the emotional scenes, one Corrie fan said: "God this is unbearable to watch"
"I feel like the cancer storyline has been dealt with and portrayed so well but this Daniel/Bethany thing happening right at the end nearing sinead’s death really didn’t need to happen," added another.
A third said: "There have been lots of good things about the Sinead/Daniel cancer storyline, but there's something, I dunno, gratuitously cruel about the latest twists."
"Not liking the fact that #Corrie has ruined #Sinead goodbye by making Daniel kiss someone else!!!," said a fourth.
This came after Daniel confessed to Sinead that he had kissed Bethany Platt.
Daniel dug himself a massive hole when his lies caught up with him and he was forced to admit he cheated on his dying wife.
Demanding the truth, Sinead said: "If we can’t be honest now then when can we, hey?
"Do you really want me going to my grave knowing that there’s something you’re keeping from me?"
Daniel then finally admitted that he did kiss Bethany, confessing: " "Alright. We kissed."
Horrified Sinead struggled to process the devastating bombshell.
The scene was very powerful, but some viewers accused Corrie of 'cheapening' Sinead's death.
