Coronation Street's Daisy to see red over Daniel and Bethany

Daisy Midgeley is set to become jealous all over again in upcoming Coronation Street scenes.

After almost losing boyfriend Daniel Osbourne, due to her inner green-eyed monster over his friendship with escort Nicky Wheatley, Daisy's feathers will be ruffled once again due to Bethany Platt.

Bethany, played by Lucy Fallon, quit the soap back in 2020. She is currently expecting a baby with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson.

But when Daniel sees a magazine article written by Bethany, he becomes inspired to see a woman he mentored doing so well for herself. It prompts him to get writing again, but Daisy is completely unnerved at the mention of his ex.

Later, Daisy reveals that she’s found a lump in her breast. On Jenny’s advice, she tells a shaken Daniel who insists he’ll accompany her to the doctors.

Despite their rocky start, Daisy loves Daniel (ITV)

But an anxious Daniel instead begins to knock back drinks in the Rovers. And when Jenny tells him Daisy could have cancer, Daniel staggers out of the pub.

Peter persuades him that alcohol isn’t the answer and Daisy needs him by her side offering support. As Daisy attends her appointment alone, they’re interrupted when Daniel throws open the door and staggers in drunk.

Coronation Street continues tonight (Wednesday) at 8pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
