Coronation Street's Craig Tinker blackmailed by Ray after discovering villainous plan

Craig Tinker will be blackmailed by Ray Crosby after the policeman discovers what the Bistro owner is really up to on Coronation Street.

Ray, played by Mark Frost, has been secretly working behind the scenes to take over Weatherfield.

After acquiring the garage, Bistro and on the cusp of bagging the Platt house, Ray continues his takeover plan - but he might be thwarted by officer Craig.

Next week on Corrie, Ray asks for Craig's advice on stepping up security at the Bistro after his money was snatched during a violent robbery.

Craig waits for Ray to show up after calling at the Bistro, but ends up spotting Ray's plans for redeveloping the street.

Ray is shocked when he sees Craig studying the plans and offers him a bribe to keep quiet - a free meal for himself and Faye.

Yet Craig isn't put off and goes to Gary to question him on the project.

In turn, Gary goes straight to Ray to tell him about his chat with Craig. Ray then offers to Craig that he'll put in a good word for him with the Chief Inspector if he doesn't say anything.

But Craig is desperate to get to the bottom of everything and goes to Sally to ask her if there are any redevelopment plans for the local area.

Later on in the week, Ray offers Faye a huge opportunity as trainee manager of the hotel and restaurant chain.

But he warns Craig that if he tells anyone about the plans that he will fire Faye.

What will Craig do?
