Coronation Street's Craig gets closer to the truth about Faye's dark secret

Coronation Street's Craig Tinker is getting closer to working out what happened to Ted - and Faye Windass' involvement in his death.

Faye and Emma Brooker knocked over an elderly man when they were doing a driving lesson, and whilst he initially seemed ok, he ended up passing away after the accident.

Faye and Emma were desperate not to be found out for their involvement but police officer Craig - who is now living with their pair - is growing closer to the truth after discovering Ted's wooden crutch.

Whilst Craig does not know the significance of it yet, he's getting closer to the truth behind it - leaving Faye and Emma worried.

Next week, Craig - feeling very bored - starts to look out over the street with his pair of binoculars, but he is left completely shocked by what he sees. However, he later vows to use his time to work out who the original owner of the wooden crutch is.

Craig even strikes a £20 wager with Tyrone Dobbs that he'll be able to work out who it belongs to - leaving Faye devastated.

Using the tools available to him, Craig decides to send the crutch to the lab to have it tested for fingerprints.

As he reveals his plans to everyone, Faye and Emma are terrified they will be caught out for their crimes. He is discussing the evidence with Roy Cropper, who is convinced the crutch could belong to Trafford Health Services.

Later on, Craig is back in his flat above the salon with housemate Emma. As he taps on his laptop, he was thrilled to work out it did belong to Trafford Health Services whilst Emma desperately tries to mask her panic.

In scenes that aired last week, Corrie fans were left puzzled as Craig made a huge blunder whilst investigating the case.

"We're still waiting for a post-mortem and for forensics to do another sweep. We are worried though, we want answers! I got a lead today though. I was at the property and a neighbour said that he let a delivery driver into the building," he said.

"There's a parcel signed for in the flat after he died. So we’re going to track down the delivery driver and find out who signed for it."

However, viewers were confused how Craig seemed to be so open about the case he was investigating.
