Coronation Street fans are fuming after murderer Corey Brent was found not guilty at his trial into the murder of beloved character Seb Franklin.
ITV has been met with 137 Ofcom complaints from unhappy fans who don't want to see him get away with his vicious crime.
The broadcasting watchdog will evaluate the complaints to determine whether or not to take action.
Avid viewers of the soap had even threatened to boycott the show after Corey was found not guilty.
The ruling was particularly tough for Seb's heartbroken mother Abi who saw him smiling, joking and celebrating as he walked free from the court alongside his father, who she suspects has paid off witnesses to ensure his son's verdict.
Kelly Neelan was found guilty of the murder. And although she was initially involved in the assault on Seb and his girlfriend Nina, she had tried desperately to stop Corey as he laid into an unconscious Seb.
Kelly was so distraught after being told she faces 12 years behind bars and seeing Corey go free that she attempted to take her own life, and Abi was so badly affected by the events that she was seen dumping her fiancé Kevin Webster and running away from Weatherfield.
After the controversial verdicts were handed down, fans took to Twitter to fume over the lack of justice for Seb.
One wrote: "Right f**k it, I'm boycotting this f**king soap #corrie."
Another penned: "When @itvcorrie get it completely wrong. That verdict when the story is based on a true crime is a disgrace. Sally and Mollie have acted their bloody socks off throughout this storyline and deserve better from the scriptwriters. I’ve reached for the off button. Appalling #corrie."
While a third begged: "Please let this be a dream sequence, and then Abbie wakes up #CoronationStreet #Corrie."
In upcoming episodes, Kelly will be seen demanding answers about her gangster father Rick, who was killed by Gary Windass, who so far has got away with the murder.

As she battles back to health and tries to adjust to life behind bars with the support of her foster parents Imran Habeeb and Toyah Battersby, Kelly will be visited by her dad's old ally Sharon Geary.
Sharon tells the teenager she no longer needs to worry about funding her appeal to get out of prison, as someone has provided an anonymous donation.
Kelly is delighted as she believes her dad is the one sending the money, providing proof that he's alive and well.
But fellow inmate Mia is left terrified at the sheer sight of Sharon and becomes distressed when Kelly tells her who her father is.
Kelly demands answers from Mia, wanting to know why she's so scared of her dad, and Mia explains that Rick is the reason she's in prison and that her own mother is dead.
While Kelly believes her dad is in Spain and paying her legal fees, Mia theorises that he's been killed and that his fate has been covered up.
She then turns to her ally Gary for answers about Rick, not knowing that it's him who killed her father and hid his body.
