Coronation Street's Colson Smith unrecognisable as he continues epic weight loss

Coronation Street star Colson Smith is looking almost unrecognisable as he continues to show off his incredible weight loss.

The 21-year-old Craig Tinker actor has been working very hard in lockdown and after losing almost two stone is now a shadow of his former self.

In his latest Instagram pictures, Colson looks super trim in a slim-fit all grey tracksuit.

Earlier in the day, the actor gave fans a glimpse at his new workout regime as he shared a celebratory selfie after running in the sweltering heat yesterday.

Earlier this month, Colson told his followers that he'd taken up jogging as he continues to shed the pounds.

The Corrie favourite shared a snap of him in his running attire and wrote: "Bank Holiday run done. Feet up & some family time while staying at home now! Have a good un folks."

His co-star Andy Wyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland, heaped praise on the star: "Looking absolutley mega pal well done."

While other fans told Colson his transformation gave Adele a run for her money.

Adele has also been on a weight loss mission and stunned fans with her own eight stone weight loss this month.

Colson starting working out for the first time this year to ensure he was fit for his Corrie storylines.

The actor plays a police officer who was embarrassed at being out-run by shoplifters.

However, it was actually a bout of food poisoning that was the unlikely kick-starter for Colson's weight loss journey.

He revealed he shed the pounds after eating some dodgy seafood in Thailand and has continued from there.

Speaking on his podcast Sofa Cinema Club - which he hosts alonside Corrie Co-stars Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price - Colson opened up about his unfortunate experience.

"I was in Ko Lanta. I was sat on the beach and the waiter came over and was like, 'What would you like?' And I said, 'I'll have the prawns to start please.'

"I had avoided seafood [on Ben's advice] but I was sat on the beach and I was like, 'How can you not have seafood on the beach?'

"Well, anyway. I'm not doing that again," he joked, adding he had since lost a stone and a half.
