Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent teases soap return after maternity leave

Brooke Vincent has hinted at a possible return to the soap.

The Coronation Street star temporarily waved goodbye to the cobbles 11-months ago as she went on maternity leave.

And in October 2019, Brooke and partner Kean Bryan welcomed their first child, Mexx S J Bryan, into the world.

But the Sophie Webster actress has admitted that viewers may not have to wait "too long" to see her back on screen.

Brooke, 27, made the admission during a Q&A session with fans on Instagram.

In response to one who asked when she will be back on screens, she responded: "I'm not too sure yet, as I didn't take typical maternity.

"I've been on Corrie since I was 11 so it's nice to have some time to be with my new baby and in our new home before going back.

"Hopefully not too long though."

However, the ITV soap has currently suspended filming due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Corrie was then forced to reduce its episode transmission from their usual six to three in order to keep the popular programme on air for as long as possible.
