Brooke Vincent has spoken about how she is prepping for motherhood and how much it has changed her own body hang-ups.
The Coronation Street star announced in April that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend, Sheffield United footballer, Kean Bryan.
Brooke, who has played feisty Sophie in the ITV soap for 15 years, has continued training during her pregnancy at Ultimate Performance in Manchester, but has been hit was a few negative comments.
"I have had people saying 'be careful'. I'm obviously going to be careful," she told OK! Magazine .
"I don't need Jean from Kent on Instagram to tell me that!"
She also spoke openly about how being pregnant has helped forget some of the things she used to dislike about her body.
Brooke said: "It's very strange having pictures taken and not breathing in because you’re so used to doing it and standing a certain way," she joked.
"I think people underestimate how pregnancy makes you feel or how much you change. Your entire body changes. It’s a whole new experience but it’s nice having the challenge to find things that fit.
"Sometimes it takes me an hour to find something to wear!"
The actress said she does not want to 'stress herself out' with birth plans and worrying about what may or may not happen.
Brooke, from Audenshaw, Tameside, added: "I'm not going to take on other people’s opinions, because I know there will be so many.
"Everyone's got an opinion and everyone thinks they know better, but you have to do what’s best for you and your baby."
The 27-year-old mum-to-be has been showing off her blossoming baby bump, which she says she 'loves' and is 'so proud of', on Instagram.
Last month she shared a snap of herself posing in a bikini on her babymoon with partner Kean.
