Billy Mayhew makes a devastating discovery about Paul Foreman harrowing past on Coronation Street next week.
The vicar, played by Daniel Brocklebank, is horrified when he finds out that his boyfriend was sexually abused ny his stepfather.
Paul is left in turmoil with stepdad Kel's return back into his life, who tries to get him to move on from the past.
The factory worker, played by Lee Booth, opens up to Billy and tells him that he had sex with Kel when he as 14.
However he ends up flying off the handle at Billy and insists that while he was underage, he gave full consent.
Yet Billy sees it completely differently and tells Paul that he was too young to consent.
Following their row, Paul storms off and Billy is later horrified to see Kel bringing Joseph back from school in his car.
Instead, Billy interjects and invites Joseph to join him and Summer for tea.
Just as Paul is on the verge of opening up, Bernie interrupts and Billy is left confused when he later sees Paul playing happy families in the Rovers with Kel, Bernie, Chesney and Gemma.
Later, Bernie begins handing around old photos and it suddenly dawns on Paul how young he was compared to adult Kel.
Billy manages to track Paul down and as the factory worker downs vodka, he admits that everything he has previously tried to block out is flooding back.
Billy then tells Paul that he was groomed and abused, but Paul still tries to insist that he loved Kel.
Paul breaks down in Billy's arms and the vicar tries to comfort him as best he can.
Will Paul be able to accept his past? And will he tell the police about the abuse?
