Coronation Street's Adam Barlow dies as he suffers seizure after deadly attack?

Coronation Street aired concern for Adam Barlow on Wednesday night, as he suffered a seizure amid his fight for life.

The character was attacked and left for dead recently, with his attacker still at large.

He suffered serious head injuries with a fractured skull and bruising to his brain, and he also lost a lot of blood.

Adam has been in an induced coma ever since, and on Wednesday the doctors attempted to bring him out of sedation.

But suddenly the machines went off, with fears for Adam's life as the nurse raced to help him.

It was soon revealed that he had suffered a seizure when they were trying to ease the sedation.

As a result they had to sedate him again, and he was not ready to be woken up.

Daniel told dad Ken that Adam had been given muscle relaxers to stop the fitting, and was now sedated again.

Daniel and Adam's wife Sarah were left fearing the worst, worrying he was going to die.

But they weren't alone, as viewers tweeted their own fears that he was about to be killed off.

One tweeted: "Adam's condition is getting worse. Could the attacker be facing a potential murder charge?"

Another said: "Adam better not die."

A third tweeted: "Please let Adam be okay."

Spoilers have yet to confirm Adam's fate, or who attacked him.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
