Coronation Street: Nick tells shocking lie about David that could change everything

Coronation Street airs a twist on Thursday, following the Platt’s discovering Nick and David’s betrayal.

David finally told gran Audrey that Nick was the one who stole her £80,000 inheritance money, and he helped him spend it.

After David learned months ago about the deceit, he blackmailed Nick into using it on their joint business venture, the barbers.

Audrey was left heartbroken and raged at her grandsons in the fallout of the reveal on Wednesday, before rushing off and telling the rest of the family.

As they reeled, David and Nick came to blows in a brutal fight.

When they finally returned to the holiday home they were all staying in, they received some home truths from mum Gail.

They were practically abandoned for their crime, with Audrey making it clear she wanted nothing to do with them.

On Thursday, the news travels back to the Cobbles as the family return to Weatherfield.

When confronted by partner Leanne, he tells a shocking lie to cover his own back, dropping brother David in it.

He tells her David forced him to steal the money from their gran, but will she believe him?

Nick then offers David a deal, his share of the business in exchange for him taking the blame.

David’s stunned by how far Nick is prepared to go to get out of their situation, but will he accept?

Nick still remains a suspect in the factory roof collapse case, with the saboteur finally set to be exposed on Friday.

Coronation Street airs all this week at the later time of 9pm on ITV.
