Coronation Street newcomer you'll recognise from Emmerdale

A newcomer to the cobbles is set to send shock waves through Coronation Street next week.

Emma is in for a big shock when Curtis' past is revealed ahead of their wedding.

With Curtis keen for a small wedding, Emma wants to surprise her fiancé and tells Steve she wants to secretly invite his family to their big day, the Mirror reports.

When Curtis finds out, he is less than happy, and is then dealt a huge shock when his dad, Neville, turns up.

Emma is completely shocked as she believed Curtis' dad was dead but Curtis quickly covers claims that Neville is his stepdad.

Neville goes along with it, but feels pained that Curtis has told his future wife that his dad is dead.

Teasers about the upcoming Christmas episodes revealed: "A Christmas wedding has everyone excited, but as Emma prepares to marry her dream man she discovers Curtis is not all he seems.

"Her heart set on a big white wedding.

"Will Emma be able to forgive the unforgivable or will Curtis be leaving Coronation Street without saying: 'I do?'"

Curtis' dad Neville is played by actor Mark Cameron, who viewers may recognise from Emmerdale.

Mark played Detective Sean Rossi on the Dales, appearing intermittently, from 1996-2020.

Mark also appeared as Dr Hugh Thompson in EastEnders in 2014 and 2016, and has had a number of roles in Doctors.

He has also had roles in Tina and Bobby, Good Omens, and has even previously been on Coronation Street - playing a police officer.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and ITVHub
