Coronation Street newcomer Will is familiar face as viewers spot him from popular advert

Coronation Street fans have figured where they have seen newcomer Will before.

The troubled youngster finally appeared on screen after he phoned the helpline where Paul Foreman volunteers.

While the rules say no private or personal contact allowed, Paul caved after hearing what Will had to say and agreed to meet up with him.

However, Todd Grimshaw found out and agreed to keep Paul's secret.

So Paul escaped boyfriend Billy Mayhew, also Todd's ex, to meet Will but he told him he could not keep helping him because he was risking his job and possibly worse.

But what Corrie viewers actually saw later is that Will isn't the troubled teen he seems, and is in fact working for scheming Todd who is still in love with Billy.

Will told Todd he had put his acting skills learnt in school to good use with the cruel scheme.

But viewers were quick to realise that they recognised his acting skills from somewhere else.

"Isn't Will that kid off the advert where his sister tells him to get out of her room and he gives her a cake... #corrie," a viewer spotted.

Another echoed: "Isn't he off the Mr Kipling advert, the lad that takes cake to his sister? #Corrie."

"Mr Kipling cake thief? #Corrie," asked a third.

While a fourth joked: "He's a wrong un! He nicks cakes from parties #Corrie."
