Coronation Street labour fears for pregnant Gemma as baby bump becomes trapped

Coronation Street’s Gemma Winter hasn’t had an easy ride with her pregnancy, following the news she’s expecting quadruplets with Chesney Brown.

They decided to accept the risk and carry all four babies, despite their worries over how they will afford to care for four babies.

But that could be the least of their worries in looming scenes, with drama set to unfold – but could it lead to Gemma going into labour at the worst time?

The character’s super blossoming baby bump will cause her some trouble in scenes set to air in the coming weeks, on a day out with Ches.

Pictures of actress Dolly Rose Campbell on set show her filming on location, wearing a huge artificial baby bump with the character now much further along in her pregnancy.

But the character appears to end up trapped in a turnstile, as her bump becomes wedged into it.

The pair have headed to a stadium, and as they prepare to enter the venue things take an awkward turn.

Gemma is said to cry out to her partner Chesney as she can’t get out, with him forced to seek help.

With no other option, Chesney calls the emergency services with the firemen heading down to help her.

Pictures from filming show the fire brigade and a fire engine on location, as the scenes unfold.

Both Dolly and co-star Sam Aston were pictured in-between takes, and they certainly saw the funny side.

The pair were all smiles as they walked around the venue in Bury.

Apparently the characters headed there to watch Weatherfield F.C. play, but it’s unlikely Ches will get to see his beloved team.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
