Coronation Street gun horror as Nick and son Sam shot at by evil Harvey's thugs

Coronation Street airs fresh turmoil for Leanne Battersby next week, as her partner Nick Tilsley is caught up in gunfire.

The character and his young son Sam are shot at in dramatic scenes, leaving Leanne fearing the worst.

It happens as the pair prepare to spend the day together, and head to Nick's car.

But one of Harvey's thugs are watching them in a vehicle, just weeks after the youngster was kidnapped by the evil drug dealer's heavies.

It was a plot to get Nick and Leanne out of hiding, as they remained in witness protection for their own safety.

Harvey had threatened to kill Leanne and her son Simon after she gave the police information about him and his organisation.

The information was enough to get Harvey and many of his associates caught in the act, and he was arrested.

Now, he's desperate for revenge ahead of Leanne standing as a witness against him in court when he goes on trial.

But could he get the ultimate revenge on her and her family by having Nick and Sam killed?

The pair are on the street when gunfire is heard, and they both drop to the ground.

The noise is heard by a panicked Leanene, and as she races over she sees them sprawled on the floor - but is she too late?

Viewers will have to tune in all next week to see what happens, and if Harvey's actions will lead to tragedy.

If fans can't wait that long though, they can also watch the episodes earlier than usual on Monday when they drop on ITV Hub at 6am.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
