Coronation Street airs worrying scenes next week, as Gary Windass’ involvement with loan shark Rick Neelan leads to another character facing potential danger.
Gary makes some decisions that leave him feeling pretty guilty next week too, as he abuses the trust of his loved ones and neighbours.
Following money problems, viewers learned Gary had sought a loan from Rick, and now he’s struggling to pay back what he owes.
He’s been blackmailing Peter Barlow for cash, after he offered a bribe for him not to expose Carla Connor’s guilt over the factory roof collapse.

Carla knew the factory roof was damaged before it collapsed and killed Rana Habeeb, while she doesn’t currently know a mystery culprit climbed onto the roof and tampered with it before the incident.
With Carla’s guilt now exposed, Gary is still struggling to pay up to Rick with him forced to work for him.
Next week, Gary is offered some work by neighbour Mary, as she needs her guttering sorted.
But Gary does the unthinkable and lies to Mary that it needs more work than she thinks, charging her extra money.
Later, riddled with guilt, Gary is driven by Rick to an assisted living complex where he’s left shocked by what is expected of him.
Rick encourages him to con the elderly residents out of their money by taking out high-interest loans.
As Gary begins knocking on doors, will he really go through with it?
Meanwhile there’s trouble for Cathy’s nephew Alex who ends up being encouraged to take a loan out with Rick, while Gary is desperate to stop him.
Rick threatens him not to affect his business, after he warns Alex not to go through with it, while Alex goes ahead and proceeds with the loan leaving a helpless Gary horrified by what he’s done.
