Coronation Street funeral mystery as Emma is spotted in graveyard and fans will be wondering who has died

A funeral mystery surrounds Coronation Street as Emma Brooker was spotted attending a funeral.

Corrie cast and crew filmed graveyard scenes on location at St Martin's Church in Sale with Emma dressed all in black.

And she was seen talking to a male stranger.

It can’t yet be confirmed who has died but fans will be wondering if tragedy might strike after Emma got engaged to Curtis Delamare.

Emma, played by Alexandra Mardell, and Curtis, played by Sam Retford, have been planning a Christmas wedding after it was revealed that he suffers with a serious heart condition.

However fans have have had their suspicions that Curtis may be too good to be true.

And the character also lied to Emma about his father being dead.

Rain halted filming for a while (Eamonn and James Clarke)

Another storyline involving Emma was also recently revealed which may be connected.

Alexandra was recently snapped filming on location in Miles Platting with Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass.

The pair were seen filming a car accident after it was teased in that there will be secrets and lies in the New Year when Steve McDonald's older daughter Emma and Faye, who is back after being jailed for the attack on Adam Barlow last New Year, make a terrible mistake.

It appears they run over an elderly man during a driving lesson in a taxi.

The pair are seen in the vehicle as it hits the man walking across the road, with a learner sticker clearly visible on the car.

Emma and Faye were then seen stood in shock as they try help the man who already had his leg in a boot.

Duggie Brown will be making an appearance as the gentleman who is run over.

And Corrie fans may recognise him from Granada Television's popular series The Comedians.

He's also appeared in Corrie before.

In 1997, he played George Freeman in Coronation Street, and again in 2004, this time playing Honor Blackman's husband Bernie.

At the church outdoor scenes had to temporarily halt due to the rainy weather.

It is expected that the scenes will air in February.
