Coronation Street flooded with complaints over Kelly twist as Seb's killer is exposed

Coronation Street fans have complained over the twist reveal after Seb's killer was exposed.

Nina Lucas remembered who killed her boyfriend on last night's episode of the popular ITV soap - which was told in a series of surreal flashback scenes.

Coronation Street viewers were torn over whether Corey Brent or Kelly Neelan was responsible for the crime - as both had given differing accounts of the incident.

But Nina Lucas remembered it was Corey who killed Seb - and Kelly had actually tried to pull him away.

Some Corrie viewers slammed the twist after they thought Kelly was just as culpable in the killing as Corey - as Manchester Evening News reports.

Kelly had slapped Nina on the night Seb was killed and some fans were disappointed she was redeemed later on in the episode.

One viewer said: "Kelly is just as guilty as all the others, she may not have kicked anyone but she was there and didn't get help,"

Another added: "Hope they don't let Kelly go Scott free because she still didn't call police after and she was still a part of it. Realistically would she get off completely?"

A third said: "Kelly may be innocent and tried to stop it but she was still there and it makes her an accomplice. Bravo to all actors on this storyline though."

A fourth commented: "Kelly should have rang the police and the ambulance rather then just stand there and allow the attack to happen. She could have stopped the attack from happening but she didn't."

Other viewers took to social media to praise Kelly for telling the truth throughout the trial.

One fan said: "The honesty from Kelly."

Another posted: "Well done Kelly for trying to stop Corey from attacking Seb. She's such a clever girl. I hope she doesn't go down for something Corey has done"

A third commented: "Can someone give Kelly a hug."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and ITVHub.
